IFA obtains ATO Certificate in Cape Verde
IFA obtains ATO Certificate in Cape Verde.
IFA certified the ATO in Cape Verde, reinforcing its strategic plan for international expansion, with the opening of Type Rating, Airline Pilot and cabin crew courses.
The IFA – Aviation Training Center obtained the ATO (Approved Training Organization) certification issued by the Cape Verde Civil Aviation Agency on June 11th.
“This process is part of a strategy that starts in Cape Verde for reasons of cultural proximity, but also, and fundamentally, because it is one of the African countries with a long tradition and quality in the aeronautical sector. Today, Cape Verde ranks second in the ranking of the quality of airport infrastructures in Africa. This ranking places Cape Verde in an excellent position to be an airport hub for routes to and from Europe and other African and South American countries, so the extension of the ATO to the region reinforces the IFA’s new internationalization strategy. We work to actively accompany, assist and participate in this process and the current global situation in the aeronautical sector. In addition to enhancing the IFA’s strengths, namely its name in terms of training quality and professionalism, IFA has reached maturity, is ready to go beyond its origins, Portugal, providing beyond borders our training of excellence”, words of IFA’s CEO, Dr. José Madeira.
Regarding IFA’s concrete training offer at the Cape Verde ATO, IFA is certified for Type Ratings in ATR 42/72, Boeing 757-767 and Type Rating Instructors (TRI), ATPL Airline Pilot Course (A) and Cabin Crew initial courses, with type ratings and instructors courses in B757 / B767 already taking place.
