First Aid and Aeronautical Medicine Course (FA)

OBJECTIVES

First Aid Course is required for the maintenance of cabin crew and pilot qualifications.

The aim of the course is to create awareness to the importance of wellbeing while on duty, accidents prevention and first aid theoretical and practical knowledge. By the end of this course participants must be able to know what measures should be taken in case on an accident or sudden illness, setting priorities and taking actions towards victim’s stabilization or health improvement.

Recurrent – 7h

    • Hypoxia
  • Introduction to First Aid
  • Life-saving procedures:
    • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
    • Shock
  • CPR Demonstration and Skills Practice
  • Use of the first aid kit
  • Inflight medical emergencies:
    • Respiratory System Disorders
    • Cardiovascular Disorders
    • Abdominal Disorders
    • Nervous System Disorders
    • Behavioral and Psychological Disorders
  • Other Medical Disorders
  • Inflight traumatic emergencies:
    • Wounds
    • Severe bleeding
    • Amputations
    • Chest Injuries
    • Muscle, bone and joint injuries
    • Head/Neck injuries
    • Environmental injuries (burns,   hypothermia…)

PRE-REQUISITES

Be qualified as crew in a commercial aircraft.
